Officials Declare Flooding Alert

	YOUR TOWN --  (County or City Name)     Presiding Commissioner
or Mayor _________ has declared a flood alert declaration for
(county or city)  residents living in the (location, address) area.
The   (name of river or creek)   rising water and flooding conditions
are reaching critical stages.  This means there is a possibility
the elected officials might issue an evacuation order for residents
if flooding conditions worsen.

	Local emergency management and (city or county ) officials are
working with the Corps of Engineers and State Emergency Management
personnel in gathering flooding and levy information.  The (County or City)
elected officials  will be taking actions designed to protect the public.

	Citizens are advised to listen to their local EAS radio station for
emergency instructions from local officials as the flooding situation
changes.
