News From Around the State for Area G:

Date: June 4, 2008

Location: Willow Springs, Hillbilly Junction

Time: 11:30am to 2:30pm

The twice-cancelled first Area G Coordinator Meeting in 2008 is now scheduled at Hillbilly Junction Restaurant immediately south of Willow Springs. You are invited to eat lunch from the buffet or order from the menu. I will start the meeting around 12:15 and end around 2:00pm. This meeting will feature the new Mobile Command Center (MCC) acquired with Homeland Security funds through the Area G Regional Homeland Security Oversight Committee (RHSOC r-sock).  This vehicle was deployed and used in Reynolds, Carter and Wayne County during the Flood event of March 17- 31.      

You will hear a brief After Action Report from the ICS chiefs that conducted the Regional Exercises May 20 at Winona.  I expect to hear what was discovered while operating an Emergency Rest Area Site (ERAS) mentioned in every LEOP Annex O Appendix 3 in the Initial Response Tier.
