Missouri state assistance agencies teaming up Wednesday for Cassville-area residents affected by flooding and storms

State agencies offering one-stop shop for impacted residents with questions and seeking assistance due to recent flooding and storms

The State Emergency Management Agency announces state disaster assistance agencies are teaming up on Wednesday, July 15, to provide a one-stop shop for Cassville-area residents with questions and seeking assistance following the recent flooding and severe storms. The Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Missouri Department of Social Services office at 208 E. 8th Street, Cassville, MO 65265.

 

The MARC will include representatives trained to identify possible assistance resources, including temporary public assistance, mental health counseling and assistance with questions about insurance and health and safety issues.

Among the participating state agencies will be the Missouri departments of Health & Senior Services, Mental Health, Insurance, the Family support Division of the Department of Social Services and the University of Missouri Extension.

A Department of Insurance representative will be able to provide consumers with assistance understanding their insurance policies and the process of filing a claim.

Residents seeking assistance should bring photo identification and proof of address, if available.
